Which Defib to Purchase

Heart Safe Australia recommends the Mindrays range of AEDs

Options of AEDs:

  1. Automated External Defibrillators:

    1. SAED – when a shock is required to be delivered to a person, the operator will be prompted to press a button on the machine to activate the shock.
    2. AED – the machine automatically delivers the shock when required.

  2. Manual External Defibrillators are used by health professionals trained to interpret data provided by the AED device, and to manage the person. Ambulance services and ER departments also use this type of AED. This is the most common perception of a defibrillator and you may see this type of AED on a television show.
